Mundfish and 4Divinity have officially announced that Blood on Crystal, the fourth and final DLC for Atomic Heart, is launching on April 16. A gameplay trailer has also dropped alongside the announcement, giving players their first real look at what’s coming.
The DLC wraps up the first part of Atomic Heart’s story, sending protagonist P-3 along with the Twin and their allies deeper into Facility 3826 than ever before. The mission this time is a desperate fight against CHAR-les in what’s described as a last-ditch effort to stop the total destruction of humanity. Two new areas will be part of the journey: the Wave Platform and the classified Crystal Complex, where players will uncover the truth behind CHAR-les’ plans.
A new type of enemy is also being introduced called the Polymorphs. These creatures come directly from CHAR-les’ experiments and can take on different elemental forms by using polymer. Because of this, players will need to adjust how they fight depending on what they’re up against. The DLC will also feature new bosses, and players will have access to the most powerful glove abilities and weapons in the game to take them on.
The DLC releases April 16 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Blood on Crystal is included as part of premium editions of Atomic Heart.
