Amazon and Bethesda have confirmed that Fallout Season 2 will make its first teaser appearance during Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live on August 19. The official Fallout series account teased the event on social media with the message:

Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the showcase will give fans a glimpse of the next chapter before the series returns to Prime Video in December 2025.
Returning Cast and New Vegas Setting

Season 2 sees the return of Walton Goggins as the wasteland mercenary The Ghoul, Ella Purnell as Vault Dweller Lucy MacLean, and Aaron Moten as Brotherhood of Steel knight Maximus. The trio is joined by Dogmeat, the Ghouls’ loyal canine companion.
Following the events of Season 1, Lucy and The Ghoul are heading toward New Vegas in pursuit of the sinister Hank (Kyle MacLachlan). Maximus’ path remains uncertain, but his eventual reunion with the group seems likely.
Leaked set photos and videos from production have already shown iconic Fallout: New Vegas locations, including the Ultra Lux, Dinky the T-Rex, and the Lucky 38 Casino. Fans are also speculating on the return of Mr. House, last seen in a pre-war flashback.
Bigger Threats and Fan Favorites
The wasteland’s dangers will escalate in Season 2, with hints that Deathclaws may finally make their live-action debut. The December release will also answer how the show tackles Fallout’s branching canon from the games, particularly the player-driven outcomes of Fallout: New Vegas.
Production and Popularity

After delays caused by the Los Angeles wildfires, filming wrapped in May 2025. Season 1’s success was staggering, surpassing 100 million viewers and sparking renewed interest in Fallout games across all platforms. Amazon has already renewed the show for Season 3.
Fallout Season 2 premieres this December exclusively on Prime Video. Catch the teaser during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CET.
