Castlevania Nocturne, A New Series Starring Richter Belmont Gets First Teaser Trailer

Netflix has revealed the teaser trailer for their new upcoming Castlevania animated series, Castlevania: Nocturne.

The series will be a sequel/spin-off to their critically acclaimed original Castlevania Animated Series. Nocturne will take place hundreds of years after the events of that show and stars Trevor Belmont’s descendant Richter Belmont. You can check out the teaser for Castlevania: Nocturne below:

“Netflix’s new animated series Castlevania: Nocturne is officially in production!

The showrunner is Kevin Cord, creator/writer Clive Bradley. It will be produced by Project 51 Productions and production services will be provided by Powerhouse Animation. Castlevania: Nocturne is an animated series about the battles of Richter, a descendant of the Belmont clan, a character from the popular games Castlevania X: Nocturne in the Moonlight and Castlevania X: The Circle of Blood.”

While the original Castlevania series was based on Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, this series will likely be based on Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and its direct sequel (and the most popular game in the series) Castlevania: Symphony of The Night.

The outfit that Ritcher is wearing in the teaser trailer is based on his appearance in Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles which was a remake of Rondo of Blood for the PSP.

There is currently no release period for Castlevania Nocturne but it will be coming to Netflix in the near future.
