Apex Legends is teaming up with Gundam for an epic crossover event starting March 10, 2026. Players on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via EA App, Epic, and Steam can join the action for free and experience iconic Gundam weaponry, abilities, and maps. The Broken Moon map transforms into a full Gundam battlefield, complete with destroyed Mobile Suits, massive climbable Wing Gundam statues, and aerial ship battles.

Gundam Takeover: A New Battlefield

The “Wildcard: Gundam Takeover” event brings unique gameplay mechanics to Apex Legends. Players can grab the Buster Rifle from care packages for aerial reconnaissance and fire laser beams that cut through cover. The Bit Staves act as shields, or players can deploy them with Drone Command to scan, patrol, and attack enemies. New Wild Card abilities include Epyon’s Lash, Heavyarms Salvo, Zero Sacrifice, and Zero Rebirth, giving Legends powerful tools to dominate the battlefield.

Legendary Skins and Event Items

Eight Legends receive Gundam-inspired skins, carefully matched to each character’s personality and playstyle: Alter as Gundam Epyon, Conduit as Gundam Aerial, Crypto as Freedom Gundam, Gibby as Xi Gundam, Mirage as Destiny Gundam Spec II, Octane as GQuuuuuux, Revenant as Gundam Deathscythe Hell, and Valkyrie as Wing Gundam Zero. A Char Aznable-inspired Sparrow skin is also available in the Reward Shop.

Event packs feature two Mythic weapons: the Epyon Heat Rod and Beam Saber, alongside eight Gundam-themed weapon skins, including the Buster Rifle Kraber, Destiny 99 R-99, and Aerial 301 R-301. Players can earn Medals to unlock rewards in the Reward Shop, including banners, trackers, stickers, and the Char Aznable Sparrow skin.

Apex Legends x Gundam Store and Limited Edition Gunpla

The limited-time Apex Legends x Gundam Store allows players to purchase event Legend skins until April 14. Outside the game, BANDAI NAMCO is releasing three limited-edition Apex Legends-inspired Model Kits (GUNPLA):

Recent updates improved server stability, fixed edge-case crashes in Trios and Duos, corrected Ranked challenges, and addressed map exploits on Broken Moon.
