Amir Ahnaf Reimagines Thanos in Netflix Malaysia’s Squid Game Promo Ahead of Season 3

Netflix Malaysia has just dropped a brilliant and hilarious twist on Squid Game, reimagining the fan-favourite character Thanos with a very local flair, starring none other than rising Malaysian star Amir Ahnaf.

In the new parody short, Amir dons the character of Malaysia’s very own Thanos, being named Panos, as he brings charisma, charm, and iconic sass to the role. The video showcases iconic scenes from Squid Game through a uniquely Malaysian lens, from the chilling Red Light, Green Light challenge to the unexpected return of the notorious fork scene.

Alongside Amir Ahnaf, the Squid Game promotional video also features popular Malaysian creators and talents such as Melissa Tan, Shaqur, Aravinn Vharmaan, Aush, and Allen, playing reimagined characters from the Squid Game universe, including the eerie Pink Guards. The sketch serves as a fun tribute to the original series while hyping up excitement for Squid Game Season 3.

For those looking to go beyond the screen, fans can join Netflix Malaysia’s Squid Game Immersive Experience, happening from June 27 to 29, 2025, at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, where the world of Squid Game comes to life.
