In celebration of STORY OF SEASONS hitting 30 years, Marvelous treated fans to a first glimpse into what they’re working on for the next installment. The reveal was short but sweet, only spanning 36 seconds but showcasing enough to get fans excited.

The post stated, ‘As a small treat, we’ve prepared an early, in-progress look at the next installment in your favorite cozy game series.’ They also thanked the fans for their support and promised more updates in the future.

Although the clip is a representation of a work in progress, it offered pretty visuals, showcasing the new location at different times of the day. STORY OF SEASONS’ cute art style that has since grown iconic was in full display in the reveal, from the bubble cows to the bright and rural town. 

Speaking of, the new island’s locations were also shown. In the series’ true fashion, it seems to feature a town, a town hall, a beach, and of course, the player’s farm.

Players are also excited because it would be the first new installment since STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town, which released in 2021. Since then, the franchise has released reimagined versions of A Wonderful Life and, most recently, STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar in 2025.

While a release date hasn’t been revealed yet, the news of a new installment as opposed to a reimagining is enough to generate excitement. Plus, with the franchise entering its 30th anniversary, this early glimpse could mark the beginning of a new era for the iconic farm and life sim.
