LifeAfter has a new update in the form of ‘The Revenant’ which officially launches today. You can now play as a half-human, half-zombie -a revenant- to survive in the doomsday world. There are new maps, stages and challenges to take part in.
Previously in LifeAfter, you could play as either the surviving human race or as part of the zombie hoards. Now you can also become a reverent, a half-human, half-zombie entity. They have the mental capacity of a human but the power of a zombie. The downside is that the zombie side can consume them and turn them into real zombies.
Players can become reverent by completing quests. At a certain decision, they can apply the ‘blue reagent’ to a zombie bite before they completely turn into a zombie. That turns them into a revenant.
Revenants have physical strength akin to a zombie but are able to use and craft weapons much like a zombie. They also have their own exclusive skill: spore parasitism. When a revenant hits an enemy, they will drop spores that give the revenant more skills. This means a revenant will become stronger as the fight goes on.
Also while humans are good at crafting and using tools, revenants draw power from the flower of revenant to absorb biological energy. This can be used for essential daily tasks. This includes gathering their own exclusives resources to make new weapons.
New maps added to the game will include the ‘City of Chaos’ a stronghold accessible only to revenants. There’s a fighting arena, bar, medical centre and living area. A true home for all your half-dead needs.

Coincidentally, another game named After Life ended its service last year. Surprisingly both games also involved dead people.
