Cygames and Arc System Works have announced that Id, a character from Granblue Fantasy: Relink, is joining the roster of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising as a downloadable content (DLC) character. Alongside this, the two companies also revealed that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Both will arrive as part of the version 2.60 update on September 17, 2026.
Id is a prominent figure in Granblue Fantasy: Relink and he marks the first time a character from Granblue Relink making the jump to Versus: Rising. The rest of the roster consists of characters native to the mainline Granblue Fantasy game, alongside collab characters like Nier and original additions like Versusia.

The version 2.60 update is set to bring a fair amount of content beyond just the new character. Players can look forward to a new stage, a new system mechanic, adjustments to existing system mechanics, character balance changes, and a new costume, with the developers noting that more content is still to be revealed.
The Switch 2 version means the fighting game will now be playable on Nintendo’s latest hardware, expanding its reach to a new platform.
No pricing details for the Id DLC or the Switch 2 version have been announced at this time. September 17 marks the release date for all of the above, giving current and new players something to look forward to later this year.
