Brigandine: Abyss will launch on August 27, publisher Happinet Corporation has announced. The fantasy war strategy RPG will release on modern platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The game supports multiple languages at launch, including English, French, German, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. As a result, it is positioned as a globally accessible strategy RPG at launch.
In Japan, physical and digital editions will be available for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Notably, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will be distributed using a game-key card format.
Standard and Limited Editions Confirmed

Happinet Corporation has confirmed two editions of Brigandine: Abyss. The standard edition is priced at 9,020 yen (approximately MYR 285), while the limited edition is priced at 18,480 yen (approximately MYR 585).
The limited edition includes a copy of the game, 18 character acrylic stands, an art book, an original soundtrack CD, and a special collector’s box. Therefore, it is aimed at collectors and long-time fans of the series.
A New Entry in the Brigandine Strategy RPG Series

Brigandine returns with a brand-new standalone entry set in an original world. According to western publisher NIS America, the game is designed to be approachable for newcomers while still offering depth for returning players.
The story revolves around the return of the Abyssloa Empire, which was once defeated by the arcane power of the Brigandine. However, the empire has risen again, forcing multiple nations into a new large-scale war.
Players will manage resources, command monsters, and lead armies across six distinct story campaigns. In addition, each campaign offers a different national perspective on the conflict.
Two-Phase Tactical Combat System

Brigandine: Abyss uses a structured two-phase gameplay loop. During the Organization Phase, players develop units, manage resources, and prepare their forces for battle.
Then, the Attack Phase shifts into turn-based combat on a hexagonal grid. Battles require careful positioning, elemental awareness, and tactical planning. As a result, strategy plays a central role in every encounter.
Players can choose to eliminate enemy leaders or defeat all opposing units. Therefore, multiple tactical approaches are supported depending on playstyle.
Story Mode and Mission Mode Add Replay Value

The game features two core modes. Story Mode lets players experience six national campaigns tied to the return of the Abyssloa Empire.
Meanwhile, Mission Mode offers additional replayability by allowing players to control 24 different factions, each with unique win conditions. Consequently, the game supports a wide range of strategies and long-term engagement.
A Major Strategy RPG Return for Modern Platforms

Brigandine: Abyss expands the series’ classic hex-based strategy gameplay with new systems, factions, and narrative depth. In addition, its launch across modern platforms highlights its broad audience reach and updated presentation.
With its August 27 release date confirmed, Brigandine: Abyss aims to deliver a deep fantasy strategy experience for both returning fans and new players alike.
