Most game bundles stick to the basics, a copy of the game, maybe a console, perhaps some extra goodies. But Capcom and Japanese e-commerce and talent company Yume Group had something completely different in mind for a Resident Evil Requiem bundle for fans in Japan, and it paid off fast.
The two companies teamed up to release what they’re calling the “Terrifying Nightmare Set,” a bundle that pairs a PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch 2 copy of Resident Evil Requiem with an at-home pull-up bar, all packaged in a specially designed box. The set is priced at 19,800 JPY, which comes out to roughly $128 USD. All 50 available sets sold out in less than five hours.

To promote the bundle, Yume Group put together a commercial that fits right in with their reputation for loud, over-the-top shopping videos. The ad stars Yume Group president Shigehiro Ishida and singer and co-host Yuri Hoshina, with a guest appearance from Resident Evil Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi. A longer version of the video is styled after a classic TV shopping channel infomercial and features Requiem protagonist Grace hanging upside down from the pull-up bar — a direct nod to the game’s reveal trailer.
The logic behind the bundle is straightforward enough: after a long session with Resident Evil Requiem, players can use the pull-up bar to stretch out their back and shoulders. For anyone not interested in working out, the product listing also suggests the bar works just as well as a place to hang clothes.
Pre-orders for all 50 sets are now closed, with deliveries scheduled for February 27 — the same day Resident Evil Requiem officially launches. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
