Japanese game developer Falcom has revealed it’s working on new games in both its Trails and Ys series, according to an investor presentation published through Nikkei. The presentation shows two unannounced games currently in development: a new Trails series title and a new Ys series title. Both games don’t have release dates yet.
Falcom also confirmed plans to release two new titles in 2026. One of these is Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, which is coming to PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC. The other new title remains unannounced. The company also has an unannounced port scheduled for 2026. The developer is currently working on several other projects, including a Tokyo Xanadu new project and ports for Switch 2. Some of these unannounced titles also appeared in last year’s investor report.

Falcom stated it wants to increase its output from one new game per year to two new games per year within the next three years. Recent releases from the company include Trails beyond the Horizon and several ports, including Ys X: Proud Nordics for Switch 2 and Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter for multiple platforms. The PlayStation 5 version of Ys X: Proud Nordics is scheduled for February 2026.

The Trails and Ys series are Falcom’s main franchises, with the Trails games focused on story-driven role-playing adventures and the Ys series known for action-focused gameplay.
