Bandai Namco (Shanghai) Entertainment has announced that Digimon: Source Code will officially end service on January 26, 2026. The mobile game, which launched in April 2025, will be shutting down after less than a year of operation. According to the official announcement from the operations team, the game will be removed from all platforms on November 26, 2025. At that time, game downloads will stop, new player registration will close, character creation will be disabled, and all in-game purchase options will be turned off.

Two months later, on January 26, 2026, all game servers will shut down completely. Players will no longer be able to access the game after this date. The operations team stated they will handle player account data, character information, and game data according to Personal Information Protection Law following the server closure.

The officially licensed title was developed for the mainland China market and featured next-generation PBR rendering technology to create detailed Digimon models and environments. The game stood out from typical mobile titles by using a DigiEgg hatching system instead of traditional gacha mechanics, allowing players to collect Digimon through map exploration without required spending.

Key features included an “Overload” combat system, cooperative techniques between Digimon, and no stamina restrictions for exploration. Players could also engage in activities like fishing, cooking, and resource gathering throughout the game world. The operations team apologized for the inconvenience caused by the service termination and thanked players for their support. They encouraged players with questions to contact customer service, which will remain available until the final shutdown date.
