Acer Malaysia has officially launched the local qualifiers for the Asia Pacific Predator League 2026, inviting the nation’s best esports teams to battle it out in Dota 2 and VALORANT. The qualifiers will lead to the Malaysian finals at Sunway Pyramid on 15 and 16 November 2025, where teams will fight for the title of national champion and a share of the RM80,000 prize pool.

Path to the Predator Shield

The champions crowned in Malaysia will go on to represent the country at the grand regional finals in India next January. There, they will face elite teams from 14 different regions across Asia Pacific for a chance to claim part of the USD 400,000 (about RM1.88 million) prize pool and the prestigious Predator Shield. Malaysia has already proven itself a powerhouse in the tournament, having won the Predator Shield in its debut year and again during the sixth edition earlier this year.
Acer’s Commitment to Esports

Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Asia Pacific, described the Predator League as more than a competition. “Gaming is more than entertainment — it’s a movement that connects communities and cultures, while fueling creativity and friendly competition,” he said. Hou also highlighted Acer’s efforts to build a broader esports culture, citing last year’s launch of the official theme song It Lies Within and an animated series featuring Predator heroes Yuffy and Nero.
Expanding the Esports Stage

This edition marks a significant milestone as India steps further into the spotlight as an esports hub. Since its inception in 2018, the Predator League has grown from eight to over fifteen countries. Over the years, it has distributed more than USD 2.15 million (around RM10.1 million) in prize money and provided a platform for rising esports talent throughout the region.
Registration Now Open
Malaysian teams eager to compete can register until 29 September 2025. Sign-ups for Dota 2 and VALORANT are available through the Predator Gaming Malaysia Facebook page and Instagram page.
With Acer Malaysia driving the momentum, the Asia Pacific Predator League 2026 promises not only high-level esports competition but also an inspiring showcase of national pride and community spirit.
