Microsoft announced that they are teaming up with LG to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming into vehicles. Soon, passengers can stream and play Xbox games directly on car screens running LG’s webOS Automotive Content Platform.
Gaming on the Road

The feature debuted at the International Motor Show in Germany, where LG showed a live demo. During the event, Xbox titles streamed smoothly on a rear-seat screen, proving how passengers could enjoy full console experiences while traveling. Microsoft emphasized that the service respects driving safety regulations, limiting gameplay strictly to the back seat.
Requirements for Access

To play, passengers need two things: an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and an automotive data plan. Once connected, the Xbox app inside LG’s system grants instant access to the full Xbox Cloud Gaming library, similar to streaming on phones, tablets, or smart TVs.
A New Way to Game Anywhere

Xbox vice president of marketing Christopher Lee highlighted the partnership as part of Microsoft’s broader mission. “We’re committed to meeting players wherever they are, bringing the joy of gaming into even more places and experiences,” Lee said. The expansion with LG pushes Xbox Cloud Gaming beyond the traditional living room and into everyday travel.
More Than Just Games

LG promotes its Automotive Content Platform as a “premium in-cabin entertainment hub.” Along with Xbox Cloud Gaming, the platform already includes music, video streaming, and navigation services. At the same event, LG announced plans to add Zoom, giving passengers the ability to join virtual meetings on the go.
Driving Entertainment Forward

This collaboration blurs the line between car infotainment and home entertainment. For now, only select internet-connected vehicles will offer the feature, but it signals a future where games, media, and productivity tools travel with you wherever you go.
