Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), alongside the Ministry of Digital, has officially announced the ASEAN Digital Content Summit 2025 (ADCS 2025). The event will take place from 2 to 4 September 2025 at Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor Bahru, in collaboration with the Johor State Government.
The summit comes as part of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, reinforcing both national and regional ambitions to position ASEAN as a global creative hub.
A Gathering of Leaders, Creators, and Innovators
The ASEAN Digital Content Summit 2025 will host:
- 50+ global and regional speakers
- 100+ exhibitors and buyers
- Country pavilions from 10+ nations

The summit will spotlight animation, games, and creative technology, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, startups, investors, and creators across ASEAN and beyond.
The event begins with the ASEAN Roundtable on September 2, a high-level dialogue aimed at strengthening partnerships in creative industries. Notably, attendees can expect insights from Koji Morimoto, co-founder of Studio 4°C and a creative visionary behind Akira.
Business Opportunities and Showcases
The Kre8tif! Business Xchange will provide curated pitching and matchmaking sessions, connecting ASEAN creators with international broadcasters, distributors, and investors. Meanwhile, the exhibition hall will showcase innovations from over 100 companies, with pavilions featuring leading studios and startups from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and other ASEAN nations.

In addition, the summit will showcase 50 global technical papers and 60+ university projects and IPs, giving students and researchers a platform to present ideas and gain recognition. This is supported by collaborations with KL Chapter ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques (SIGGRAPH), and the Digital Innovation Creativepreneur (DICE 3.0) programme.
Johor’s Rising Role in ASEAN’s Creative Economy
MDEC Chief Executive Officer Anuar Fariz Fadzil said that the summit will serve as a defining platform to accelerate the growth of the region’s creative economy.
