Gravity has officially revealed Ragnarok Online 3, the long-awaited sequel to the classic MMORPG Ragnarok Online. Developed by Gravity in collaboration with JoyMaker—best known for Ragnarok Origin—the new title blends nostalgic design with modern upgrades. The game will be free to play, though no release date has been announced yet.
The debut trailer offers a nostalgic return to Midgard. It highlights iconic locations like Prontera and Geffen, now rebuilt with pixel-art and 3D visuals. The footage features exploration, class-based combat, 10-player dungeons, and large-scale Guild League battles. Classic jobs like Lord Knight, High Wizard, Crusader, and Hunter return, supported by a modern skill system designed to add more strategy to combat.
A True Successor to the Classic Ragnarok Experience

Ragnarok Online 3 continues the legacy of the 2002 original while modernizing its systems. The game introduces a seasonal world MMORPG format. This means players will get fresh content and limited-time gameplay events with each new season.

The game’s art style keeps the charm of the original while adding updated graphics. Environments and character designs remain faithful to the series, but now carry added depth and polish. Core social systems like guilds, MVP hunts, and player-run economies return, ensuring that the sense of community remains central to the experience.
Pioneer Test Now Open for Selected Regions
Alongside the trailer reveal, Gravity has launched sign-ups for the Pioneer Test. This closed test is open to players in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and South Korea.

Interested players can apply by filling out a survey form linked via RO3’s official Facebook and Discord pages. Chosen applicants will receive notifications through email and Discord. Gravity confirmed that more testing rounds are planned, so fans who miss this phase can still look forward to future opportunities.

The team will also release more details soon. These include installation guides, gameplay FAQs, and previews of in-game events. With the gameplay trailer now live, fans can expect additional updates as Ragnarok Online 3 moves closer to launch.
