Toei Animation has officially announced the world’s first permanent and officially licensed Dragon Ball Store, set to open in Tokyo in Fall 2025. This marks a historic milestone for the beloved franchise as it celebrates 40 years of global success since its debut in 1984.

A Landmark Moment for Dragon Ball Fans

Created by the legendary Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball began its journey as a manga serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1984, followed by its anime adaptation in 1986. Over four decades, it has grown into one of the most influential global franchises, spanning anime series, blockbuster films, and best-selling video games.

Despite its massive worldwide popularity, Dragon Ball has never had a dedicated permanent store until now.

The new Dragon Ball Store will offer a wide range of exclusive merchandise, including collector’s items that are only available at this Tokyo location. Fans can expect apparel, figures, accessories, and potentially limited-edition collaborations, perfect for long-time followers and new fans alike.

Wave of new Flagship Stores

While Toei Animation has not yet revealed the exact location, Shibuya is the leading candidate. Shibuya has become a hub for otaku and gaming culture, making it the ideal spot for the Dragon Ball Store.
