Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue Saga mobile game announced

Legend of the Galactic Heroes is, honestly as expected, getting on the mobile game adaptation train, with Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue Saga to be available on Android and iOS devices in the unspecified future. Aiming will be developing the title that will be based on the reboot series, Die Neue These.

At present, we only have this initial announcement for the Legend of the Galactic Heroes mobile game, and a teaser website that has the key visual and not much else. The game will be a strategy game and will feature the characters and battleships from the reboot series. You will play the part of a commander, with the lofty end goal of “galactic unification”. It will be free to play, so we can safely assume there will be some form of gacha as is usually the case, and probably also a Japan only release.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes is a staggeringly long running space opera series. Die Neue These is, as mentioned, a reboot by Production I.G. The anime first aired in 2018, with the second and third “seasons” released at theatrical events. The third will soon be hitting screens in Japan March 2022, with details available through the anime’s website.
