Arrival & First Impressions
Walking into PokéPark KANTO is stepping straight into a fully realized Pokémon universe. At the entrance plaza, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle greet guests with playful poses that immediately spark excitement. The atmosphere is lively and immersive, designed to pull visitors into the experience from the very first step. Vibrant colors, detailed props, and cheerful staff set the tone for an adventure you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
The Pokémon Research Lab, resembling Professor Oak’s iconic space, is the first stop. Research assistants hand out Pokémon research notes and guide you to pick your starter Pokémon. Detailed wall displays showcase research on various species, immersing you further in the world of Pokémon. This is where your journey begins, sending you off toward Pokémon Forest with your first partner Pokémon in hand.
Pokémon Forest
Pokémon Forest provides a first-hand glimpse of Pokémon in their natural environment. The 1,600-foot-long forest blends hilly paths, tunnels, rocky trails, and grassy areas, making it feel like you’ve stepped into a wild habitat. Interactive signboards provide tips and insights about the area, and strategically placed audio devices let you hear Pokémon cries and sound effects as you explore.
Many Pokémon are within reach and can be touched, allowing for playful interactions. Countless secrets and funny behaviors reward guests who are observant—if your eyes are sharp, you may find interesting surprises. Pokémon Rangers are stationed throughout the forest to assist visitors and ensure safety.
Entry to Pokémon Forest requires age 5 and above due to steep paths and stairs. Certain guests may also not be given entry, depending on their health condition.
Sedge Town
Sedge Town is the lively social hub of the park, combining shops, snacks, rides, and communal spaces. Merchandise and food are heavily Pokémon-themed, from plush toys and stationery to onigiri, latte art drinks, and themed popcorn. Toilets are only available here, so plan your stops accordingly.

Special rides in Sedge Town, such as Pika Pika Paradise and Vee Vee Voyage, require separate tickets priced between ¥800 and ¥1,200, with Ace Trainers enjoying one-time priority lane use per day. The park is located within Yomiuriland, between Inagi City (Tokyo) and Tama Ward (Kawasaki City, Kanagawa), offering a unique blend of natural and urban Pokémon experiences.
Getting There
PokéPark KANTO is inside Yomiuriland, between Inagi City (Tokyo) and Tama Ward (Kawasaki City, Kanagawa). By car, Tokyo visitors can use the Chūō Expressway Inagi IC, Hachiōji via Fuchū Smart IC, and Atsugi/Yokohama via Tōmei Kawasaki IC. Parking is available: cars/small vans ¥1,500 weekdays, ¥2,000+ weekends, minibuses ¥3,000 (reservation required), and limited free spaces for two-wheelers.
By public transit, take the Sky Shuttle gondola from Keiō-yomiuri-land Station (¥300 one-way, ¥500 round-trip), or buses from Shin-Yurigaoka or Yomiuriland-mae Stations. Once inside Yomiuriland, follow signs or the mobile app to reach PokéPark KANTO, with staff on hand for guidance.
