Hideo Kojima has shared fresh details about his next project Physint, during Kojima Productions’ 10th Anniversary event. The legendary developer presented a new poster and confirmed the first actors joining the cast.

A Return to Espionage Action

Physint—short for “physical intelligence”—is an upcoming stealth-action game from Kojima Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment. Announced during the January 2024 PlayStation State of Play, the title marks Kojima’s return to the action espionage style that made Metal Gear Solid iconic. Unlike Death Stranding or the horror-focused OD, this new game aims to revive tactical stealth and cinematic espionage on a modern scale.

The Physint Cast Announcement

Kojima confirmed three major names for Physint. Charlee Fraser, known for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, will appear in the game. Don Lee, recognized for Train to Busan and Marvel’s Eternals, also joins the cast. Rounding out the lineup is Minami Hamabe, star of Godzilla Minus One and Shin Kamen Rider. This mix of Hollywood and Japanese actors continues Kojima’s trend of blending cultures to enrich his storytelling.

First Physint Poster Revealed

Kojima Productions revealed the first official poster for Physint. It carries the tagline “Here Comes the Feeling.” The artwork shows a trenchcoat-wearing operative holding a gun, echoing the mood of classic espionage thrillers. Kojima stated this character will serve as the main playable lead, though their final design is still undecided. Fans quickly noticed the resemblance to Solid Snake, sparking theories that Physint could act as a spiritual successor to Kojima’s earlier stealth-action legacy.

Platforms and Release Outlook

No announcement was made for available platforms or release date of Physint. Many expect it to target next-generation hardware, possibly the rumored PlayStation 6, projected to launch around 2028. For now, Kojima Productions is focusing on its horror title OD before shifting full attention to Physint.
