Persona 5: The Phantom X has officially set its Southeast Asia release date for July 3, 2025, bringing the popular mobile spin-off to a new region after successful launches across Asia earlier this year.
The game first launched in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and South Korea in April 2024. Now, Southeast Asian players will finally get their chance to experience this mobile-optimized entry in the beloved Persona series on both mobile devices and PC.
Developed through a partnership between Atlus’ P-Studio and Chinese studio Black Wing Games, The Phantom X introduces players to Wonder, a high school student at Kokatsu Academy. His ordinary life changes when he meets Lufel, a mysterious owl-like creature, setting him on a path to uncover why society is losing its desire and drive.
The game keeps the core gameplay that Persona fans love – turn-based battles, exploring dungeons, managing your daily schedule, and building relationships with other characters. Players can take part-time jobs, join school clubs, strengthen their Personas, and improve their social stats while following a completely new story.

While The Phantom X features an entirely new cast of Phantom Thieves, popular characters from the original Persona 5 will appear through special in-game contracts. This includes fan favorites like Joker, Ann Takamaki, and Ryuji Sakamoto.
Players in Southeast Asia can now pre-register for Persona 5 Phantom X through the iOS App Store and Google Play. The developers are offering milestone-based rewards that will be sent to players when the game launches:
- 50,000 pre-registrations: 10 free contract draws
- 100,000 pre-registrations: 5 free weapon draws
- 200,000 pre-registrations: Free outfit for the main character
Additional reward tiers will be announced as more players sign up.
