Publisher holo Indie and developer BeXide have officially announced HoloType: Treasure Zombie Island, a new typing-focused game coming to PC via Steam. The announcement confirms the platform but does not include a release date. The title continues holo Indie’s efforts to expand Hololive’s presence into interactive media, while BeXide brings its experience with unconventional game design into the project.
Built around fast-paced typing mechanics and strong character theming, HoloType: Treasure Zombie Island blends familiar typing gameplay with Hololive’s trademark humor and fan-favorite personalities.
Houshou Marine Takes Center Stage

The game stars Houshou Marine, who returns as the central figure of the adventure. This time, she embarks on a typing-based journey rather than a traditional seafaring one. The story begins when Crazy Ollie causes chaos, transforming Marine’s treasured belongings into “Treasure Zombies.”
These Treasure Zombies take the form of Hololive members and companions. Each encounter draws directly from iconic Hololive dialogue and moments. This approach gives the game a strong fan-oriented identity and turns recognizable quotes into interactive challenges.
Typing Gameplay with Boss Battles

At its core, HoloType: Treasure Zombie Island functions as a keyboard-based typing game. Players must type the characters shown on screen with accuracy and speed. Each stage presents a new set of Treasure Zombies to “heal” by completing the displayed text correctly.
Stages end with a boss battle that raises the difficulty. These bosses require players to type longer or more chaotic lines under pressure. The structure creates a clear rhythm of escalation while keeping the focus on typing precision rather than complex mechanics.
The game emphasizes memorability over punishment. Instead of overwhelming players with technical systems, it leans into recognizable Hololive lines to drive engagement.
Treasure Collection and Room Customization

Outside of the main stages, the game includes a Treasure Collection Room. Players can display the treasures they recover throughout the game inside the captain’s room. This space acts as a personal hub where collected items remain visible and interactive.
As players gather more treasures, the room evolves. This system encourages replayability and completion without relying on competitive scoring alone. It also adds a relaxed layer to the experience, balancing the intensity of timed typing challenges.
Screenshots Available, Release Date Unconfirmed

Although BeXide has not shared a release window, the game’s Steam page is now live and features its first set of screenshots. These images offer an early look at the interface, character presentation, and overall tone.
For now, HoloType: Treasure Zombie Island stands as a playful fusion of typing gameplay and Hololive fan culture. It reinforces holo Indie’s growing catalog while showcasing BeXide’s willingness to experiment with genre and format.
