Shulong Information Technology has announced the upcoming public beta launch of Dragon Nest World, scheduled for February 20, 2025, on Android and iOS platforms in China. The action MMORPG, a remake of the classic PC title Dragon Nest, comes after two successful test phases – an initial test in September and a 27-day final test that began on January 9, 2025.
Developed by Shengqu, this mobile adaptation represents a complete rework of the original game while preserving its core essence. The development team acknowledged that updates were necessary, with the producer noting that the previous version didn’t meet players’ combat expectations for the Dragon Nest IP.

The game features four classic professions expanding into eight specialized jobs, alongside a PvP combat system. Players can expect to revisit iconic locations including Prairie Town, Magic Ridge, Kedra Leve, and Holy Heaven. The remake maintains the original storyline and brings back the nest mechanics, featuring challenging dungeons such as Minotaur and Hellhound Lair.

Notable features include a 3D non-target action battle system, combo customization, equipment enhancement with guaranteed success, and a seasonal ranked system. The game has already secured over 5 million reservations through its official website and is available for pre-order on the App Store.
Dragon Nest World follows in the footsteps of several mobile adaptations of the original 2010 PC game, including Dragon Nest Labyrinth, Dragon Nest: Awake, and World of Dragon Nest, though the latter, launched in January 2020, is no longer active.
