Hololive Vtuber AZKi has made her anime debut, as one of several vtubers featured in the new anime Comet Freyline.

Releasing last week, the new anime Comet Freyline features several real, active Vtubers as one of its major selling points.

Morita wakes up in a different world.
In order to bring light back to the other world, he decided to take on the challenge of producing idols using fairies and subhumans.
Can he save the other world with the music and dance that idols bring? ・・・・
In addition, “AZKi,” “MaiR,” “Ruri Asano,” “Kyoko Kuramochi,” and “Galaxy Alice,” who are active as Vtubers in the real world, will appear in the anime world!

The prologue to Comet Freyline  is free to watch on the FujiBS YouTube channel, though since it was made for a Japanese audience the video is unsubbed, with AZKi herself only appearing at the very end of the episode.

This is the first time a Hololive talent has been featured as a straight-up main character in an anime, even moreso as their Vtuber persona.

Previous Vtuber cameos include Fubuki and Matsuri in The Detective Is Already Dead as well as Momosuzu Nene playing a background character in The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated.
