Gameplay aside, the controversy surrounding Punishing Gray Raven was primarily due to the unequal treatment of its players between Global, Chinese (and even Korean) regions.

While this remains a dark spot in many day-1 players’ hearts, the launch of the game’s first major event, Frozen Darkness and its first event character, Alpha, has restored confidence somewhat.
