ROG Masters APAC, A New Esports Tournament, Announced

ASUS ROG has announced its own eSports tournament, the ROG Masters APAC . The online tournament will be held from March to April 2021.

The tournament will feature Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) as its game, and players will compete for a grand prize of USD 10,000. Those interested to compete can sign up starting February 28th.

It will be taking place across the Asia Pacific region, including countries like Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Meanwhile, fans of both ROG and CS:GO can look forward to the tournament, which will be livestreaming all its matches from Quarterfinals on. You can watch these via the ROG Facebook or Youtube channels.

The ROG Masters APAC starts with country qualifiers, where teams will compete with each other to earn a spot in the next stage, the Country Finals.  The winner of the Country Finals will then move on to the Asia Pacific Finals, where they’ll compete for the grand prize. The team who wins the Malaysian Finals will also walk away with USD 800, so even if you don’t make the overall top 3 you’ll still be rewarded for being the best in your country.

Anyone can enter this tournament, from amateur to professional teams. According to ROG, professional teams will be seeded directly into the finals, so newbies won’t have to worry about going against a professional team on the first round.
