Via its official Facebook page, the organisers of Comic Fiesta has announced that the event for 2020 will be no more and will instead be pushed to 2021.
No date was given but that probably means we will just be seeing Comic Fiesta 2021 instead during the usual time frame around the end of the year.
With the announcement of RMCO being extended to 31st December, we’re sorry to be the bearer of bad news by announcing that there will be no Comic Fiesta 2020. We apologize for being late with this announcement as we were looking for possible options to hold the event safely this year, but that does not seem to be possible with the situation now.
Please stay safe and stay healthy: and we hope to see you again in 2021! Meanwhile, we are still looking to see if we can run some activities online so stay tuned with us!
Can’t say we are surprised by the announcement, since it was obvious that the RMCO was going to be extended given the current situation. Still, it is somewhat sad to see a perennial event for for anime and manga fans in Malaysia be cancelled for whatever reason, but as they say, it can’t be helped.
