Onmyoji Arena: Season 8 & Lunar New Year Celebrations

Onmyoji Arena Season 8 is coming with Lunar New Year events! Developed by NetEase Games, the Japanese anime-style MOBA Onmyoji Arena has entered Season 8. In the upcoming update, the long expected Shikigami — Onikiri has joined the arena alongside her Cyberpunk-themed skin. There will also be a limited Season 8 Entertainment mode called Chaos Realm, where players can mix and match different Shikigami and Skills. In addition, Lunar New Year events will be dropping on the server with new Legendary skins and in-game bonuses.

Metacognitive Decoding Skinline

Born as part of the Onmyoji series, Onmyoji Arena has been trying to explore a unique path for IP extension and recreation. In the past, they have released several in-universe and lore immersive skin lines like the Campus and Steampunk line. A brand-new themed series – Metacognitive Decoding will drop alongside Onikiri, who will be the first to debut and showcase the new skin line.

Onikiri has high damage potential, not wielding one, not two but three katanas. He is able to wield the third katana by having a phantom arm following him. It’s not yet revealed how he is able to control it!

Interestingly, Onikiri’s VA, Kosuke Toriumi is also the vocals for the Onmyoji Arena 2nd anniversary theme song, “SURVIVE” .

Other than Onikiri joining the party, Onmyoji Arena Season 8 has also dropped a new gaming mode — Chaos Realm. In this game mode, players will be able to mix and match their favorite Shikigami and skill sets for battle.

Lunar New Year Event

Alongside Onikiri and Season 8, there will also be a Lunar New Year event.

Hana and Momo will get legendary skins inspired by Chinese traditional aesthetics and Characters’ stories.

As 2020 is the year of the Rat, a new Shikigami — Tesso will be bringing wealth and happiness to the arena.

Log-in Bonus:

• Onmyojis who are level 10 or above will receive Log-in Red Envelope and New Year Lucky Card between January 24^th and January 26^th.
• Random gifts of Jade, Wish Emma and rare props will appear from Red Envelopes.
