Almost half a day ago, Red Barrels Games finally pushed out a title for their next Outlast game, The Outlast Trials! The last Outlast game, Outlast II was a pretty nice hit for the change of a few elements in the game. On the 31 October, we were peaked with a poster with a strong quote

“Where freedom ends.”

With only one post for November, we are expecting the dev team to be crunching hard on the next phase of marketing and strategy. Today, we where showed another poster featuring the possibilities of 3 different man seems to be in 3 different alerts,

1. Senses (Left)
2. Reach (Middle)
3. Violence (Right)

Not only that, every single poster in the outlast series are featuring only a sole person and these features 3 different characters. With a lot of the speculations on the googles being a hint for a VR possibilities, Red Barrels Games also confirmed that it will not be a VR game

In terms of lore, we were given that The Outlast Trials will set in the era of the Cold War.

Here I’m giving it a wild guess that they are subjects that were kept in the abandon mansion that is secretly keeping high profile people who does not obey what was told; or it might be the a journalist/investigator who was urge on the case mentioned in the previous games stumble upon the wrong turn and was kidnapped.
