Nexon has officially announced Embers of the Uncrowned, a new dark fantasy MMORPG heading to PC via Steam. No release date has been set at this time. The game will launch with support for English, Simplified Chinese, Russian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Embers of the Uncrowned puts players in the role of the last surviving hope for a noble house called House Harborwell, set on a continent torn apart by an elven invasion. Players take on the role of an illegitimate child who left home to work as a mercenary, only to be pulled back by fate to reclaim their lost domain and rebuild their house from the ground up. The game blends fast-paced isometric combat with dark, gory visuals in what the Steam page describes as a brutal and action-heavy experience.

The game features three playable classes at launch, each with a distinct combat style:
- The Spectral Blade is a swift melee fighter who uses a longsword and relies on speed and precision.
- The Executioner is a heavy hitter who brings enemies down with a massive axe.
- The Stormbringer is a magic-based class who calls on wind and lightning to strike from range.
Each class comes with its own skill trees, letting players experiment with different builds and playstyles. Players are not limited to going it alone. The game includes a companion system where players can recruit allies, level them up alongside their character, and build team synergies to strengthen their forces in battle.

Embers of the Uncrowned includes content designed specifically for groups. Domain Bosses are large enemies that occupy regions of the map, and players must band together to defeat them and reclaim territory. Raids push cooperative play further, requiring coordinated tactics and teamwork to overcome the toughest enemies in the game.
