The Malaysian ACG scene is gearing up for Anime Fest+ 2026, a major anime, comics, and gaming festival set to take place at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre (SPCC) on 18 and 19 April 2026. The two-day event will occupy CP3 and CP4 levels, transforming the venue into a packed hub of performances, exhibitions, cosplay activities, and fan interactions.
Organised by Comic Fiesta, the event continues to expand its footprint as one of the country’s key pop culture gatherings, drawing anime fans, cosplayers, and VTuber communities together under one roof.
A Full Weekend of Anime, Cosplay, and ACG Culture
Anime Fest+ 2026 features a wide range of attractions spread across its exhibition floors. Visitors can explore the Art Market, browse the Cosplay Alley, and interact with creators, vendors, and community booths throughout the venue.
The layout across CP3 and CP4 allows different experiences to run simultaneously, giving attendees a mix of stage performances, fan activities, and merchandise hunting throughout the day.
Star-Studded Music Performances Across Two Days
Music remains one of the biggest highlights of Anime Fest+ 2026, with both international and local acts scheduled across the weekend.
On Day 1, the Main Stage will close with Luna Haruna, widely known for her contributions to anime themes such as Sword Art Online and Fate/Zero. Her performance is expected to be one of the key highlights of the opening day.
Day 2 will conclude with KIHOW (MYTH & ROID), performing well-known tracks from series like Re:Zero and Overlord.
Local performers will also take the stage, including Amelia Khor, Ristelle, SNOWSTORM, and the vocal-violin duo Munchies & Joshielune, adding variety to the festival’s musical lineup.
VTuber Lineup Expands Across Both Days
Anime Fest+ 2026 features one of its strongest VTuber lineups to date, with appearances scheduled across both days.
On 18 April, fans will meet hololive Indonesia Gen 1, featuring Ayunda Risu, Moona Hoshinova, and Airani Iofifteen.
On 19 April, the spotlight shifts to HOLOSTARS English -ARMIS-, including Jurard T Rexford, Goldbullet, Octavio, and Crimzon Ruze. Several members, including Goldbullet and Octavio, will be making their first appearance in Malaysia.
The event also marks local debut appearances for NIJISANJI EN talents Vantacrow Bringer and Freodore, adding further momentum to the VTuber segment of the festival.
Cosplay Alley, Guest Cosplayers, and Skit Competition
Cosplay Alley will feature international guest cosplayers from China, including 菌烨TAKO, Weian Vann, and Yuri Majyo. Selected fans will be able to meet them through limited Meet & Greet sessions, which are expected to fill quickly due to high demand.
In addition, Anime Fest+ 2026 introduces a new Cosplay Skit Competition format, focusing on performance-based judging rather than static presentation. This year’s judging panel includes experienced names such as Fujiwara Kazuko, Shine, and Rikka Blurhound, the World Cosplay Summit Malaysia 2024 champion.
Special Panel: NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE
Gaming and visual novel fans will also get a dedicated spotlight through a special panel session for NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE. The session focuses on the upcoming anime adaptation and features key industry guests including:
- Satsuki Shiina (voice of Michica Gokubara)
- nyalra (original creator)
- Yoshitaka Kimura (producer)
The panel will offer insights into the adaptation process and creative direction behind the project.
Tickets, Entry Details, and Important Information
A key update for attendees is that the 2-Day Pass has officially sold out. However, single-day tickets remain available for both event days.
Ticket price is set at RM39 per day, with purchases available online via Ticket2U or on-site at the venue, subject to daily capacity limits of approximately 7,500 tickets per day.
The event will run from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with discounted entry available for children under 12 and OKU card holders at the on-site counter.
While all ticket holders will have access to the exhibition halls, entry to the Main Stage performances and panel sessions is limited by capacity, operating on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrival is strongly recommended to avoid long queues, especially for headline appearances and panels.
A Packed Weekend for ACG Fans in Malaysia
With a mix of international guests, VTuber appearances, music performances, cosplay showcases, and interactive fan zones, Anime Fest+ 2026 is shaping up to be one of the largest ACG events in Malaysia this year.
