Pokémon Singapore has announced that Pokémon Center SINGAPORE at Jewel Changi Airport will temporarily close from 1 April 2026 for a comprehensive store renewal. Notably, this marks the first time a Pokémon Center outside Japan will undergo a major revamp.
The refreshed store is scheduled to reopen in the third quarter of 2026 with a fully localised concept designed to better reflect Singapore’s heritage and everyday culture.
A Temporary Farewell After Seven Years

Since opening in 2019, Pokémon Center SINGAPORE has become a key destination for both local fans and international visitors. Located at Jewel Changi Airport, the store attracts steady foot traffic thanks to its strategic placement within one of Singapore’s most popular lifestyle hubs.
Over the years, it has offered a wide selection of official Pokémon merchandise. This includes video games, Pokémon Trading Card Game items, plush toys, bag charms, stationery, and Singapore-exclusive products. As a result, the store has grown into a vibrant gathering space for the local Pokémon community.
Now, Pokémon Singapore aims to take that experience further. The upcoming renewal will introduce Singapore heritage-inspired installations and interior design elements influenced by familiar local culture. In addition, fans can expect an expanded merchandise lineup and refreshed shopping experiences tailored specifically for Singapore.
Pop-Up Stores to Launch During Closure

Although the main store will close temporarily, Pokémon will maintain its presence through pop-up stores at Jewel Changi Airport and Plaza Singapura for three months.
These pop-ups will offer a curated selection of official Pokémon merchandise and familiar retail touchpoints. Therefore, fans can continue shopping and engaging with the brand while the flagship store prepares for its return.
A New Symbolic Pokémon for Singapore

As part of the renewal, Pokémon Singapore will introduce a new symbolic Pokémon to represent the refreshed store. The chosen Pokémon will embody the unique charm and identity of Singapore, bringing a renewed spirit to the Pokémon Center when it reopens. Further details will be shared closer to launch.
Official Statement

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our fans in Singapore,” said Shunsuke Sasaki, Managing Director of Pokémon Singapore. “Over the past seven years, we have witnessed Pokémon become an increasingly meaningful part of everyday life, and we are proud to have been part of that journey.”
He added that the renewed store will feature thoughtfully curated products, including limited-edition merchandise, alongside an enhanced interior design concept aimed at delighting both long-time fans and first-time visitors.
Reopening in Q3 2026
The revamped Pokémon Center at Jewel Changi Airport is scheduled to reopen in Q3 2026. More details, including store highlights and upcoming experiences, will be announced via official channels closer to reopening.
