Developer IceSitruuna has launched a playable demo for Parasite Mutant, the science-fiction horror RPG first announced in September, now available on Steam for PC. The demo offers players their first hands-on experience with the game’s dark sci-fi world, delivering approximately 45 minutes of gameplay that introduces the core mechanics and atmosphere players can expect from the full release.
Players diving into the Parasite Mutant demo will encounter:
- A comprehensive tutorial covering the game’s core gameplay systems, with particular focus on the combat mechanics
- The prologue sequence, featuring an introductory taste of the game’s narrative
- An explorable area representing roughly five percent of the full game’s total content
- A 45-minute playtime from start to finish

The demo serves as both an introduction to Parasite Mutant’s gameplay loop and a glimpse into the horror-infused world IceSitruuna has created. Developer taki has also invited players to join the game’s Discord community for direct feedback and discussion, noting a daily presence to engage with the community.
Parasite Mutant is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in 2026. Players interested in experiencing the blend of science fiction and horror can download the demo now through the game’s Steam page. Another demo that is currently available is Dragon Quest VII Reimagined which recently launched, giving players an early look at the remake ahead of its full release. Progress made during the demo can also be transferred to the full version, allowing players to continue their adventure without starting over.
