The Xiaomi 15T, released in Malaysia on September 25, 2025, arrives as one of the Xiaomi’s newest entries into the competitive mid-range smartphone segment. Available in Black, Gray and Rose Gold, the model we received is the elegant Rose Gold variant, which immediately stands out with its clean and premium finish. Priced at around RM2200, the device presents an impressive package right out of the box, offering 12GB of RAM and a generous 512GB of internal storage.

This combination alone makes the phone attractive for users who rely heavily on multitasking, mobile gaming and large media libraries. Powering the device is the Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor clocked up to 3.25GHz. While it does not match the raw power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite found in the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the chipset still delivers solid, efficient performance suitable for its category.
Display

The display is easily one of the Xiaomi 15T’s biggest highlights. It features a 6.83-inch AMOLED flat panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and eye-care technology designed to reduce strain during long usage sessions. The screen also integrates advanced features such as Original Color PRO and Pro HDR, both of which help deliver accurate tones and improved dynamic range. To evaluate real-world performance, we tested the screen using 4K content on YouTube. The panel handled high-quality video exceptionally well, showcasing vivid colours, excellent brightness levels and smooth motion without noticeable lag or stutter. For media consumption and casual gaming, this display delivers a genuinely enjoyable experience.
Game Performance

In gaming, the Xiaomi 15T impressed more than expected for its price. We tested three demanding mobile titles: Honkai: Star Rail, Wuthering Waves and Delta Force Mobile. Honkai: Star Rail was set to Very High graphics with the frame rate capped at 60 FPS, yet the phone achieved around 118 FPS during regular exploration. During combat sequences filled with visual effects and Ultimate animations, the frame rate dipped slightly to the 90–100 FPS range, still maintaining smooth playability. For users seeking absolute stability, switching to Medium settings would offer the most reliable performance.

Wuthering Waves delivered the most surprising results. With Medium graphics and 60 FPS enabled, the game consistently ran between 75 and 80 FPS, even during fast-paced battles and flashy skill animations. There were almost no noticeable frame drops throughout the test. Delta Force Mobile also performed well, running on HD Quality with Ultra FPS settings. The phone maintained a stable 90 FPS even when explosions, smoke and heavy particle effects filled the screen. Across all three games, the Xiaomi 15T proved that it can confidently handle modern, visually intense titles while remaining smooth and responsive.
Camera

The camera system is another strong area for the Xiaomi 15T. The device features a Leica-branded triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. For close-up photography, such as food shots, images turned out sharp, colourful and detailed. The device captures textures and contrasts well, making it reliable for everyday photography.
However, night photography is where the phone shows some limitations. In darker environments, the camera struggles to brighten shadowy areas, resulting in shots that lack clarity compared to its daytime performance. Fortunately, Xiaomi’s HyperAI features help compensate. With tools such as reflection removal, brightness correction and area enhancement, users can fix many photo issues within seconds. HyperAI also includes productivity-enhancing tools like AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition and AI Interpreter, adding more versatility to the overall user experience. These AI additions provide convenience for both creative tasks and communication needs.
Battery

Battery life is another area where the Xiaomi 15T delivers confidently. Equipped with a 5500mAh battery and support for 67W HyperCharge, the device charges quickly and efficiently. In our charging test, the phone went from 15 percent to 100 percent in roughly 45 minutes. Battery endurance is equally impressive. After six hours of continuous YouTube live streaming, the battery dropped from 45 percent to only 15 percent, demonstrating strong power efficiency suitable for long days of heavy usage. Whether used for work, entertainment or gaming, the Xiaomi 15T is built to last throughout the day without needing constant recharging.
Conclusion

The Xiaomi 15T stands out as a well-rounded mid-range smartphone that delivers strong value for its price. With smooth performance powered by the Dimensity 8400-Ultra, ample 12GB RAM and large 512GB storage, it handles daily tasks, gaming and multitasking with ease. The display is vibrant and smooth, the battery life is reliable and quick to recharge, and the Leica camera setup performs well in most scenarios, especially when paired with Xiaomi’s HyperAI enhancement tools. While night photography could use some improvement, the overall experience remains highly satisfying for users seeking a stylish, powerful and dependable device without overspending. For anyone in the market for a mid-range phone that balances performance, features and design, the Xiaomi 15T is definitely a strong contender worth considering.
