Kuro Games has announced that Wuthering Waves will receive its Version 2.7 update, titled “Dawn Breaks on Dark Tides,” on October 9. The update introduces new story chapters, Resonators, weapons, Echoes, challenges, and several quality-of-life features for players across all platforms.
New Story Content

Players will be able to experience Chapter II Act X: The Bygone Shall Always Return and Chapter II Act XI: Dawn Breaks on Dark Tides, along with the afterstory quest “A Stranger in a Strange Land.” These quests continue the unfolding narrative and deepen the world-building.
Fresh Echoes and Sonata Effect

Version 2.7 adds several Echoes, including Nightmarer Viridblaze Saurian, Nightruare: Baby Roseshroom, and Nightmares Baly Virallilaze Saurian. A new Sonata Effect, Flamewing’s Shadow, provides significant bonuses to Heavy Attacks and Echo Skill critical rates when conditions are met.
Tactical Hologram and Optimizations

A new combat challenge, Tactical Hologram: Lioness of Glory, will test player skill. The update also brings the Resonator Ascension Planner, which generates personalized growth plans for Resonators. A new Journey Log improves quest tracking, while UI changes streamline event menus and add features like recurring event reminders.
Additional Features

The Gallery now includes a category for enemies, and the Terminal Swap system introduces a new Terminal, “Daylight Flintstone.” Environmental immersion is enhanced with interactive effects, while mobile and console players gain access to the new Global Filter and Eye Comfort settings for better visual customization.
New Resonators and Weapons

Two new Resonators, Galbrena and Qiuyuan, join the roster. Featured weapon convenes will highlight new arrivals Lux & Umbra and Emerald Sentence, alongside returning favorites.
Events and Collaboration

Special events include Lament Recon: Solaris Soldier, login campaigns, photography challenges, and platforming activities. A new collaboration, Wuthering Waves x MOONDROP “The Call of the Beyond,” will also debut soon.
Wuthering Waves is available on PlayStation 5, PC (Epic Games Store and client), iOS, and Android, with a Steam version launching April 29. For more updates on the game, players can follow their official X account.
