NetEase Games and Everstone Studio’s new open-world action RPG Where Winds Meet is now live on Steam. System requirements are still TBA (To Be Added) and no official date of release announced yet.

Where Winds Meet is an epic Wuxia tale set in ancient tenth century China during the era of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. Players take on the role of a young sword master and goes on a journey in search of identity and the mysteries circling around it.

Players will also be exposed to the breathtaking sights of ancient China where politics collide and power is imbalanced, with battles taken place to shape history on its course. From there, players build their own stories and uncover the mysteries of their origins.

As this game is also open-world, Where Winds Meet takes players on a journey through tranquil, lush lands and towering cities filled with mystery. With a thousand points of interest, 20 distinct regions and diverse interactions with a wide range of characters, players can engage in a multitude of activities ranging from drinking games, playing traditional Chinese instruments and more.

With gameplay inspired by Wuxia (martial arts and chivalry in Chinese fiction), players can customize and create their own characters with Where Winds Meet’s combat system. Weapons of choice include a hefty range such as the Spear, Sword, Dual Blades and many more. As well as weapons, players can learn a diverse range of skills on par with the inspired genre such as Acupuncture Hitting, Lion’s Roar, Tai Chi and much more to come.

Additionally, players are able to choose how their characters can impact the world in-game. This can reflect on other characters based on the choices the player wishes to make. Their in-game character can aid in fights, rebuild homes, and heal others however they see fit.

With 100+ hours of extended narrative and open-world exploration, the thrill of Where Winds Meet can not only be delved into alone, but with friends too! Players can invite up to 4 players if desired whether its in single mode or multiplayer mode with hundreds of other players worldwide.

On-going updates will be featured in Where Winds Meet to ensure the best experience continuously as well as expanding on more engaging content. The game is available to play on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android for CN. The international release date has not been confirmed yet, though it’s listed on Steam for a 2025 launch.
