Nintendo unveiled a new entry in the long-running Atelier series during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust will release “Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land” in early 2025.

Nintendo provided a brief description of the upcoming title:

“An alchemy-themed JRPG around the concept of ‘memory,’ Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land puts you in the role of new protagonist Yumia as she confronts her past in this beautiful fantasy adventure. Enhance your skills, defeat enemies and explore a vast open world.”

The description suggests that players will step into the shoes of Yumia, a new character to the Atelier universe. With the mention of a vast open world indicates that the game may offer more expansive exploration compared to some previous entries in the series.

The announcement of Atelier Yumia from the Nintendo Direct adds another chapter to the long-running Atelier franchise. Developed by Gust Corporation, the series has been a cornerstone of the JRPG genre since its debut in 1997.
