They previously announced the anime adaptation of the game and showcased a teaser trailer during Anime Expo 2024.

SANZIGEN will produce the anime adaptation. The studio, known for its specialization in CGI animation, has co-produced Ishura, Black Rock Shooter, and created various CGI animations for Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Shigeru Morikawa, who has previously worked on Argonavis the Movie: Axia, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and Project A-Ko, will direct Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers. Guilty Gear writer Norimitsu Kaiho, will handle series composition for the project, and Seiji Mizushima, known for Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Fullmetal Alchemist, serves as associate producer.
