Azur Lane 5th Anniversary Livestream Highlights

Azur Lane celebrated the 5th Anniversary of its English server with a livestream, revealing a major upcoming limited event, a crew of new shipgirls, outfits, and more.

In case you missed it, here are some key highlights from the Azur Lane 5th Anniversary livestream.

Limited-Time Event 

In the livestream, it was revealed that the next upcoming major event in Azur Lane is called “The Fool’s Scales“, and it is scheduled to start from August 17, 2023, to August 31, 2023.

The Fool’s Scales event story will focus on both the Free French Naval Forces, represented by Iris Libre and the Vichya Dominion, which represents the French Navy.

In addition, plenty of other smaller limited-time events are also planned to be released, such as Wishing Well Construction, Furniture Sets Rerun, and Reset Double Gem.

New Shipgirls & Retrofit

With the new update comes new shipgirls, and for The Fool’s Scales event, the newcomers will be from either the Iris Libre faction or the Vichya Dominion.

Additionally, a new Retrofit will also be introduced to improve an existing shipgirl beyond her limit break.

Other Notable Updates

Coming to the 5th Anniversary update is also the new dynamic art for both 6★ KMS Hindenburg and 6★ USS Kearsarge.

Additionally, shipgirls SN Chkalov, KMS Prinz Rupprecht, and PRAN Harbin will soon be able to be further improved through Fate Simulation.

Furthermore, a new furniture set called “Palais Elegant” and a new gear skin box called “Midsummer Night Dreamin” will also be added to the game.

The developers also revealed what the event hub for the 5th Anniversary celebration will look like.

Annual Review

In addition to the new content coming to Azur Lane, Yostar also looks back to the game and celebrates its continuous growth.

Through recorded statistics, the developers shared with the community various interesting shipgirls rankings such as the Valentine’s Day Secretary popularity, dominated by Shinano in the 3rd place, Musashi in the 2nd place, and Ägir as the champion.

For the wedding-themed oath skins, Bismarck Zwei got 5th place on the popularity list, followed by Prinz Eugen in 4th place and New Jersey in 3rd place, while Helena got 2nd and Musashi was crowned the champion.

In terms of the most popular starter shipgirls, Z23 is the top favorite while Laffey is the runner-up and Javelin is the 3rd.

To commemorate the 5th Anniversary of Azur Lane, the developers have also released a music video titled “Ain’t Backing Down” for the game.

Anniversary Gifts

Last but not least, the developers had prepared anniversary gifts for players as a form of thank you for their continuous support.

The anniversary gifts will be sent to every player’s in-game mailbox on the 17th of August, 2023, and will consist of an oath ring, 600 gems, 6 Special General Blueprint – Series 6, 60 Cognitive Array, 6 Full Course, and 600 Cognitive Chips.
