Korean Hatsune Miku Project Sekai Colorful Stage accepting pre-registrations

The Korean version of Hatsune Miku Project Sekai Colorful Stage has begun accepting pre-registrations in South Korea. This is notable as the region is serviced under Nuverse, who is also meant to be servicing other Asian regions, including Southeast Asia.

Its official Twitter account is fresh, which you can check out here. It has a giveaway campaign for gift cards and Apple products, with the winners announcement in 5 May. The expected release date for the Korean version of Project Sekai appears to be 20 May, so not that long to go. Naturally, there are pre-registration rewards up to a 390,000 milestone.

With that laid out, what does this mean for the other Asian regions? At time of writing, there does not appear to be any indication of other releases, which may indicate the Korean server would be standalone. It’s not particularly surprising, though it can potentially be frustrating to fans who have been awaiting news regarding their already staggered release. The global version is on an accelerated schedule as it stands, to try reach parity with the Japanese release. That comes with its own set of problems for players, and concerns that the freebies have also been reduced.

We’ll have to see when the other Asian regions may finally get to play the game on their own servers.
