Warhammer Odyssey, the upcoming MMO based on the old Warhammer Fantasy Battle series, announced new details regarding one of the upcoming classes. The team talked about the upcoming Archmage in greater detail.

The High Elf Archmage is a force to be reckoned with, some of the most powerful magic wielders in the Old World. Their power, honed by centuries of dedication and practice, can turn the simple gesture of their hands into spells to protect their allies or destruction that can lay waste to an entire battlefield. While during war the Archmages were typically used in advisory roles to the king, their scholarly appearance belies almost untold power.

Gameplay-wise, Archmages will have access to a variety of spells. These can range from support-based protection and healing spells, to powerful spells with high DPS.

The Archmage has two weapon options, either going for a two-handed staff or a sword and focus. They also come with two specializations, Damage and Healer.

Warhammer Odyssey is a mobile MMO for Android and iOS. It takes place in Warhammer’s Old World- the Fantasy-themed world that predates the more prolific Warhammer 40K. The setting was recently rebooted into Age of Sigmar, though many games still take place in the Old World setting.
