Neowiz has partnered with South Korean indie developer Lizard Smoothie to publish Shape of Dreams, a MOBA roguelike scheduled for release in May 2025. The game blends Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) mechanics with co-op roguelike gameplay, offering players a fresh experience with dynamic gameplay and customizable heroes.

Set in a dream world, Shape of Dreams allows players to shape their hero’s memories and abilities, crafting a unique character for each playthrough. The game can be played solo or in co-op mode with up to four players. Players can choose from various characters, each with their own playstyle, including agile melee fighters and powerful ranged damage dealers.

Shape of Dreams is built on procedural generation, ensuring each session is different. The game features a system where players can attach Essences to their memories, unlocking special effects and synergies. Hidden secrets and over 200 collectibles add depth and replayability to the experience.

Lizard Smoothie, founded by two college students, released a demo and prologue of the game on Steam, generating over 300,000 downloads with an overwhelmingly positive rating. Neowiz, a South Korean gaming company, will help bring the game to a global audience, continuing its support for indie developers.

“Korea carries a strong history with MOBA games, which is what initially drew us to Shape of Dreams,” said Neowiz CEO, Seung-Chul Kim. “Lizard Smoothie has crafted a unique action title that brings a familiar structure to audiences and improves upon it with its co-op battle gameplay. We are confident in its ability to carve a new path for the roguelike genre.”
A free demo of Shape of Dreams is available on Steam, with the full game slated for release in May 2025.
