In the continuing trend of Mega Man collaborations, Mega Man X DiVE is bringing in Mega Man Battle Network next! The collaboration will be live post the 25 November maintenance with its corresponding event, Network Guardian. The MegaMan.EXE character will be available for free from clearing event stages, and will debut alongside ProtoMan.EXE.

Mega Man Battle Network was a 2001 release for the Game Boy Advance, being an RPG spin-off in a different continuity. It had six games in the series, along with side-story games, before later being succeeded by the Mega Man Star Force series.

As a character, MegaMan.EXE possesses a Charge Shot that can deal up to 10 times the damage of a regular shot when fully charged, and the Big Straight attack that pierces enemies and ignores terrain. Along with his passive skills, Full Synchro and Perfect Sync, it allows him to become stronger and reduces damage taken when the sync rate hits 100%. Getting hit in turn reduces his sync rate, so it’s one for the skilled!

Clear event stages to get Event Coupons to draw for rewards and obtain his Memory Pieces!

ProtoMan.EXE meanwhile uses a sword instead that can fire a Sonic Boom with the appropriate Skill Card installed. With his Step Sword, he can sprint and slash at you at high speeds, capable of ignoring terrain in PvP. With his Defense skill, not only will he be capable of occasionally nullifying defense down debuffs, he can enhance his own defense by striking the enemy, and further reduces damage taken when above 50% HP!

The collaboration event will run until 8 December 2020, so don’t miss out!
