NetEase Games has officially revealed Marvel Rivals Season 7: The Hunt Is On. The update introduces new characters, gameplay changes, and story content. After a strong comeback from previous events, the game continues to build momentum with this latest season.
A Multiversal Crisis Hits New York

Season 7 launches on March 20 and takes players back to New York City. This time, the setting looks very different. A multiversal anomaly has reshaped Lower Manhattan into a futuristic version controlled by the Alchemax Corporation from Nueva York 2099.
Mayor Wilson Fisk enforces martial law across the city. He targets vigilantes from all timelines. This setup creates tension and pushes the narrative forward. It also blends classic Marvel elements with a sci-fi twist.
White Fox and Black Cat Expand the Roster

Season 7 introduces two new characters. White Fox joins as a Strategist. She supports allies while dealing damage to enemies. Her fox marbles heal teammates and disrupt opponents. She can also buff allies and charm enemies to control fights.
Her Ultimate ability transforms her into a Nine-Tailed Fox. This form boosts her overall effectiveness and gives her stronger battlefield presence.
Black Cat, also known as Felicia Hardy, arrives midseason. Fisk hires her to steal a mysterious stone tablet. However, White Fox intercepts her before she escapes. While NetEase has not shared full gameplay details, Black Cat appears to fit a Duelist role. She likely focuses on speed, burst damage, and quick escapes.
New Map and Album System Add More Depth
Season 7 adds a new Lower Manhattan map to the Convergence mode on April 2. The map reflects the futuristic Alchemax influence. It offers new routes and combat scenarios for players to explore.
NetEase also introduces an Album System. Players can capture in-game photos and save them permanently. They can add titles and share images with others. This feature adds a creative layer to the game and encourages community interaction.
A limited-time April Fools’ event will reward players with a free Jeff Rodeo emote. The emote features Deadpool riding Jeff the Land Shark. Players who use it with friends can unlock extra rewards.
Battle Pass Rewards and Skins in Season 7

The Marvel Rivals Season 7 Battle Pass, titled The Tablet of Life and Time, launches alongside the update on March 20. It introduces a new progression track filled with cosmetic rewards and themed content tied to the season’s storyline.
Players can unlock 10 new costumes as they progress through the Battle Pass. These include standout designs such as Ardent Archer Hawkeye, Doom Angel Angela, and Living Tribunal Adam Warlock. Other notable skins feature characters like Loki, Thor, Luna Snow, Rocket Raccoon, and Doctor Strange, each receiving unique visual redesigns.
The Battle Pass also highlights the chaos surrounding the Tablet of Life and Time, which plays a central role in the season’s narrative. Characters battle for control over this powerful artifact, and the cosmetic designs reflect this conflict.
Importantly, NetEase has confirmed that the Battle Pass does not expire. Players can complete it at their own pace after purchasing it, offering more flexibility compared to traditional seasonal models.
Balance Update Changes the Meta

The Season 7 update includes a major balance overhaul. NetEase has reduced Ultimate ability charge rates by about 20% across all roles. This change encourages players to use Ultimates more strategically instead of spamming them.
The update also adjusts multiple heroes. Magneto now applies stronger lane pressure. Black Panther moves faster and feels more agile. Blade deals more damage at close range. At the same time, characters like Doctor Strange and Emma Frost receive nerfs to their defensive abilities.
NetEase has also updated team-up abilities. It removed some older combinations and introduced new ones. These changes aim to refresh team strategies and prevent stale metas.
NetEase Responds to Player Feedback

NetEase continues to address community concerns. Recently, players reported issues with ranked match manipulation. In response, the developers added detection systems and compensation for affected players.
This quick action shows that NetEase listens to feedback. It also helps maintain trust within the player base.
A Strong Update for Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals Season 7 delivers meaningful improvements across the board. The new characters add variety and fresh strategies. The map and social features expand the overall experience.
Most importantly, the balance changes refine the core gameplay. Matches should now feel more controlled and skill-based. If NetEase maintains this approach, Marvel Rivals can continue to grow and stay competitive in the live-service space.
