LEGO Skylines is being described as a cozy, customizable city builder that will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam. A release date has not been shared yet.
According to Paradox Interactive, the game is built around giving players freedom, letting them build without set instructions and without space limits. Players can go big and plan out an entire metropolis, or spend their time focusing on small details like decorations and unique buildings. Alongside the creative side, the game includes city management basics such as electricity, food, water, jobs, hospitals, garbage collection, and sewage, which players will need to balance to keep their city running.

Iceflake Studios co-founder and game director Lasse Liljedahl spoke about the personal connection the team has to LEGO, saying that most people at the studio grew up building LEGO sets and wanted to bring that passion into their work making management and simulation games. LEGO Group senior vice president and global head of games Fredrik Loving also spoke about the project, saying that building and creativity have always been central to the LEGO experience and that LEGO Skylines brings that idea into a new gaming genre.
For now, Paradox Interactive and Iceflake Studios have only confirmed the platforms and general concept for LEGO Skylines, with a release date still to be announced.
