Konami Digital Entertainment has officially kicked off the eFootball 30th Anniversary celebrations, and it’s bringing legendary football icon Pelé into the digital spotlight for the very first time in the franchise’s history. Widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, Pelé now joins the pitch in eFootball as a new Epic player card, marking a historic moment for fans of the series.

Pelé Joins eFootball as a Legendary Epic Card

To commemorate three decades of football gaming excellence, Pelé enters the game as an “Epic: Pelé” card, featuring the debut of two new exclusive skills: Phenomenal Finish and Phenomenal Pass. This makes him the first player to possess both of these unique abilities. Players can now team him up with other legendary stars like Johan Cruyff and Ferenc Puskás to build their dream team.

As part of the celebration, players logging into eFootball during the anniversary period will receive generous login rewards, including:

eFootball World Festival and World Finals

The festivities go beyond the digital pitch. Konami will host the first-ever eFootball™ World Festival on July 21, 2025, at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden in Tokyo, Japan. This free, in-person fan celebration will feature:

• 30th Anniversary Live Stage Events, including new content reveals and licensing updates

• eFootball™ Championship 2025 World Finals, where global esports athletes, including Ettorito97 (AC Milan) and N_Apriamashvili (Inter Milan), will compete for the world title

Both events will be livestreamed globally in nine languages, inviting fans worldwide to join the celebration.
