Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that the combined worldwide shipments and digital sales of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory have officially surpassed three million units worldwide.
The milestone marks a major achievement for the Digimon RPG series, which steadily grew its audience over multiple platform releases across the past decade.

Cyber Sleuth Continues Strong Global Momentum

Bandai Namco previously reported that the Cyber Sleuth series surpassed 1.5 million units back in October 2020. Since then, the franchise has continued gaining momentum through digital sales, discounted promotions, and expanded platform availability.
The latest milestone confirms that the series has now doubled that number, reaching more than three million combined shipments and digital purchases globally.
The Cyber Sleuth games helped reintroduce Digimon RPGs to a broader audience by combining turn-based combat, monster collection systems, and modern cyberpunk-inspired storytelling.
Release History Across Multiple Platforms

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth first launched for PlayStation Vita in Japan in March 2015. Later, the game released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in February 2016.
Bandai Namco later brought the title to PlayStation 4 in Japan in December 2017. Afterwards, the company released the game worldwide for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in October 2019 as part of the Complete Edition package.
Meanwhile, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory debuted for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan during December 2017 before launching worldwide in January 2018. The game also arrived on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in October 2019.
Why the Cyber Sleuth Series Became So Popular

The Cyber Sleuth series earned praise for modernizing the Digimon RPG formula while still maintaining the franchise’s classic monster-raising appeal. Players explored a futuristic digital world filled with hackers, cyber crimes, and evolving Digimon companions.
Additionally, the games stood out for their large Digimon roster, strategic combat systems, and surprisingly darker tone compared to earlier entries in the franchise.
Over time, many fans also viewed Cyber Sleuth as one of the strongest Digimon game adaptations in years, especially following its release on PC and Nintendo Switch, which introduced the series to new audiences.
Discount Promotion Now Available

To celebrate the three million sales milestone, Bandai Namco confirmed that both Cyber Sleuth titles are currently available at heavily discounted prices for a limited time.
The promotion applies across selected digital storefronts, giving new players another opportunity to experience the RPG series at a lower price point.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Series Reaches New Milestone

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory have now surpassed three million combined shipments and digital sales worldwide. More than a decade after the first game launched on PlayStation Vita, the Cyber Sleuth series continues to stand as one of the most successful Digimon RPG entries in recent years.
