Dragon’s Blood unveils official trailer

We’re just about three weeks off to the premiere of Dota 2‘s very own anime, Dragon’s Blood! It will be streaming exclusively via Netflix, on 25 March.

The upcoming fantasy series tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world. Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events much larger than he could have ever imagined.

You can check out the character art for Dragon Knight, Mirana, Luna and Carl Invoker. Sharp eyed fans can spot a certain pattern in the corners of the posters for a QR code for a little surprise they can follow through for themselves.

DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is produced by Ashley Edward Miller, and animated by Studio MIR. The series will run for eight episodes, with no episode length stated at this point. Presumably it’ll be a series more geared to getting new fans into the DOTA universe, but we’ll see when it actually does come out to pass judgment, which is soon enough.

Considering Mirana’s and Luna’s in-game lore, we might be seeing Luna be a primary antagonist… let’s look forward to it, shall we?
