WHERE’S BABY YODA! Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Review

Ever since the first few “Star Wars” games, the company had failed to suffice their fans for the releases of the games. This time, Respawn Entertainment took the opportunity with to make “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Respawn Entertainment is very experience with games that has a futuristic touch like their Titanfall franchise. “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order” has entered the market in PC, Xbox One and PS4. Well, I’m sure all of you are here waiting for the review so let’s get to there already!

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Intro

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is a game set in between episode 3 and 4. The story starts with a character who survived Order 66, Cal Kestis, who hide himself within the crowds in order to survive. But due to unforeseen circumstances, he used his Jedi powers to help his friend. This triggers a huge red flag as the Empire is now on his ass.

Gameplay

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is a third person view action adventure game. You as a player play as the character, Cal Kestis. He is in a hurry to rebuild the army that was once, the strongest, Jedi Warriors. This game might be one of the few that is quite harder in terms of how your enemies hit you. Some inexperience players would call this game a “Dark Souls” like game, but personally, the game wasn’t hard to maneuver or master. The game is still pretty fun and interesting as well a Jedi, your only weapon is the lightsaber, so if you’re quickly bored with it, there are also fun tricks that keep the game interesting.

With the popular stamina system now in a lot of games, “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order” also embedded with such features. There are also execution move to do, but we will not spoil you with such scene, but we are quite satisfied by that. In this game, you have to keep track of how your enemies behave in order to maintain your stamina consumption and evading their attacks. Coolest thing of being a Jedi is its specialty of capable to use “Force”. Since Cal Kestis is a Jedi, you can utilize “Force” to help you interup or attack enemies like crowd controlling and combo-ing with your lightsaber to do awesome moves like in the actual “Star Wars” movies!

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order has a very satisfactory combat mechanisms, especially when you’re up against an elite enemy. The game really shines as you grow with Cal Kestis and immerse into the world and see what it is to go through different hardship. Respawn Entertainment might have outdone themselves this time for great Jedi vs Jedi action.

In this game, you will be able to control a cute robot call BD-1. It is a helping hand when you are in trouble like in need of Health or stuck in your journey because of a stupid locked door. BD-1 also helps you with its technology to project a 3D map so that you won’t be lost in your journey, well, maybe. 3D Maps are quite hard to digest as we are very used to flat (2D) maps, so keep note on that.

There are a total of 5 planets for you to explore in “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order”. Every planet will be semi open world where you are free to roam in a controlled space. There are certain area that needs you to unlock a certain moves before you can proceed further as well.

Taking points from series like “Dark Souls” and “Sekiro”, you will also able to upgrade your characters and unlock moves with the addition of saving your game. When you die, you will be respawned back at where you last saved. This will also trigger all the enemies you killed to respawn as well.

In a whole, I felt that “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order” might be the one to satisfy the fans from the past unsatisfactorily. Even if you are not a fan of the Star Wars franchise, I highly suggest you go and give it a try! And with the current trend of baby Yoda, RESPAWN ENTERTAINMENT, “PLEASE INCLUDE A SMALL EASTER EGG FOR BABY YODA!”
