Square Enix has confirmed Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, a brand-new mobile title in the legendary Dragon Quest series. The game will release worldwide on iOS and Android in 2026. Unlike traditional entries, it mixes roguelite elements with fast, arcade-like battles, giving fans something both familiar and fresh.
About the Game
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow delivers simple yet thrilling action. Players fight through waves of monsters, growing stronger as they clear each stage. Once their power builds, they can finish enemies with the series’ famous Coup de Grace attacks. During every run, players also pick random Blessings, which grant new skills or boosts. These Blessings force players to adjust tactics and keep each quest unpredictable. Thanks to this system, no two adventures will ever feel the same.
Closed Beta Test in October
Fans eager to try the game early won’t need to wait until 2026. A closed beta test will run from October 14 to 21. Registration is already live through TestFlight for iOS and Google Play for Android, but only until October 2. This test offers players a chance to sample the roguelite gameplay and give feedback that could shape the final release.
Giveaway Campaign
To build excitement, Square Enix has also launched a giveaway campaign.
